Film description:

This sparking with optimism story about struggling with illness, compared to such titles as “The Intouchables” or “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”, is something more than just another tale about dealing with life and our own weaknesses. Maciej Pieprzyca in his most mature movie yet, tells a story based on actual events of a disabled from birth Mateusz. He does not however make his illness the central theme of the film. Instead, he clashes two perspectives: the first, medical one, does not leave any doubt as to the boy’s condition, while the other lets us get to know the character’s internal world, learning about his insightfulness and ways of looking at the world. This makes the movie both touching and funny and gives a choice as which version of life we chose to believe in.
